According to media reports, she fell asleep while driving and her car went off the road near a town and got stuck in a deep crevasse.
According to local police, the place where her car got stuck was far from nearby traffic and no one even heard her cries for help.
Breonna Cassell's parents said that after the accident, it was no longer possible for their daughter to move her legs due to injuries.
The woman's phone was also turned off due to lack of charging, while she used her sweater to get water from a nearby place.
Her parents said she was in severe pain and was screaming for help.
According to police, the woman was discovered by a passerby named Johnny Martinez, who was passing by.
She was working in the area operating drainage equipment.
After seeing the vehicle, he contacted his supervisor, Jeremy Vander, who was also the town's fire chief.
The two discovered the woman alive inside the car.
Despite her injuries, Breonna Cassell fought for six days and waited for help, the police statement said.
