A man who climbed the Big Ben Tower in London holding a Palestinian flag was arrested after 16 hours after he was arrested.
According to a foreign news agency report, a man who climbed the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) in London's Westminster Palace carrying a Palestinian flag was arrested after 16 hours.
Emergency services personnel waited until midnight on Sunday for the person who had climbed the clock tower to come down. He was later lowered down using an emergency service snorkel.
Officers trying to persuade the man to come down from the clock tower were using a megaphone to talk him down, and he eventually came down.
According to the Metropolitan Police, all roads have been reopened to traffic after the man got down and was arrested.
Earlier, journalists at the scene said the man was bleeding from his feet, as a crowd gathered behind a police cordon.
A young man holding a Palestinian flag climbed onto the Big Ben tower of Parliament at 7 am and remained there until late at night.
