Flashes, an Instagram ticker application based on the technology of the decentralized microblogging platform Blue Sky, has been introduced.
The application called Flashes is almost like Instagram, where users will be able to share photos in addition to videos.
Written posts cannot be shared on applications like Flashes and Instagram, however, writing can be shared in Stories.
‘Flashes’ is being considered as an alternative to the social sharing application Instagram, however, its proponents claim that their platform is different.
According to the technology website, ‘Flashes’ has been developed by German developers, which is similar to Instagram.
Social sharing application Flashes also failed to gain immediate attention from users and was downloaded only thirty thousand times in a few days.
The application called ‘Flashes’ is just like Instagram, where users can post four photos and a minute-long video at the same time.
Interestingly, although ‘Flashes’ has nothing to do with ‘Blue Sky’, Flashes users will still be able to access Blue Sky, meaning that just as Instagram users access threads on click, the same will happen on this platform.
Flashes is currently available to a limited number of users, but it is likely to be available to the general public in the near future.
