Humans can understand the “body language” of domesticated animals, but they have never been able to understand the meaning of their sounds because they are unfamiliar with the alphabet of animal languages.
For example, they cannot know how the bark of one dog differs from the bark of another.
However, experts say that now the huge amount of data collected by artificial intelligence will help in understanding animal language.
Meanwhile, the British organization, the Germ Collier Foundation, has announced a prize of $10 million (Rs. 291 crore) to the scientific team that can understand the language of any animal.
