Former US President Jimmy Carter has reportedly said that democracy in the United States may end, which is a cause for concern.
On the first anniversary of Trump's attack on the US Congress, the former US president has expressed concern over the state of democracy in the United States.
Jimmy Carter warned in an article that democracy in the United States is rapidly declining. In his article in the New York Times, Carter wrote that if no immediate action is taken, internal strife within the United States could erupt, leading to the loss of democracy.
"Before it's too late, we have to settle our differences and get organized," he said. Jimmy Carter said that those who are constantly spreading allegations of electoral fraud are in fact doing so to ensure their victory in the next election. "This is a serious threat to American democracy," he said.
It is noteworthy that in the US election of 2020, the former president of this country had made allegations of election rigging. Trump later incited his supporters to attack the Congress building, of which there is ample evidence. The attack on the Congress is being called historic in American history.
