It was proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs. 11 and a half per liter.
Private TV, citing sources in the Petroleum Division, claimed that an increase of Rs 11.5 per liter in petrol price has been proposed. Besides, it has been proposed to increase the price of high speed diesel by Rs 2.40 per liter, kerosene by Rs 1.5 per liter and light diesel by Rs 1.40 per liter.
Sources in the Petroleum Division said that the proposals to increase the prices have been prepared in accordance with the existing petroleum levy. The notification will be issued by the Ministry of Finance later.
