In India, a woman has been arrested for filing a false sexual assault case against several people, including police officers.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, a woman in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra, had registered a false case of rape and molestation against two police constables and a rickshaw driver for unknown reasons.
The police officer said that the 35-year-old woman had filed a case in the Mumbai High Court alleging that two police constables from Ghatkopar police station and a rickshaw driver came to her house on a human trafficking charge and then raped her.
The woman alleged that she had an abortion due to abuse, while the accused also molested her 11-year-old daughter.
On the woman's allegations, the court arrested the accused and ordered an investigation into the incident, on which Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone Seven) Prashant Kadam formed a team. He was at Gohane police station while the rickshaw driver was at his own house in Saki Naka.
